White bonus squares:

White bonus squares let you hop around the board, from one white square to another, while making words. Any pieces on them are also considered adjacent, so it is possible to have more than one cluster of pieces when there are white squares on the board.

Green tiles:

Green tiles let you repeat the letter on them as many times as you want, just like the green squares, except you can move them around of course. Placing one on a 2x or 3x letter/word square can be pretty fruitful.

Rating adjustments:

Ratings adjustments are different - the biggest change is that they are based on rank rather than total score. So you will never get first place and lose points. Also, making a move in the live game counts you as in, whereas before this did not happen until you entered a word.

Facebook enhancements:

Those logging on through Facebook will notice that you can see each other's thumbnail photos now in the scoreboards. I already feel like I know you all a little better! If you are inclined towards privacy, you can hide yours using the options. The stuff in your profile has expanded a bit too, with information on how your friends are doing on the day's puzzle, and a karate-style belt ranking based on your live performance.

Advertising:

Yup, there's more ads. Here's the good news: You can make a contribution of $19 or more and have the ads disabled for your account. Donating will also let you see the list of words you missed on the previous day's puzzle.
